The Slow Reading Club: Signed First Editions, Tea, and a Chat with Frome Booksellers

Join us after hours on the last Thursday of every month for a slow, unhurried reading evening in the upstairs room at Cheap Street Books. We begin with a short talk from a local bookseller about a signed first edition from the shelves, then settle in with tea and cake while everyone reads whatever they brought along. No set text, no preparation needed, and no pressure to finish anything. Bring a book, borrow one of ours, or just come for the company and the quiet. Tickets are free but limited so the room stays comfortable, and every guest gets ten per cent off anything they take home that evening.
